Welcome to the “Leading the way in eGovernment development” Conference.

The Conference will provide opportunities to discuss the latest issues and trends in eGovernment, to learn and network among European and non-European Government Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and key officials. It is an important opportunity to bring together those who lead the way in e-Government and are in a position to improve the quality of public service delivery to further development for all.

The Conference will inspire and energize participants by sharing new insights into the future of eGovernment leadership by world-renowned experts, informing them about the development trends and challenges for eGovernment policymaking through briefings and enrich their knowledge about key policy issues through ‘real world cases’ drawn from Europe and beyond. The issues include demonstrating the benefits of eGovernment services, whole-of-government for better public service delivery, and balancing data protection and openness.

The Conference is jointly organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Government of Finland, in collaboration with the European Commission.
